Scams are usually conducted by email and they normally don't post the ad in the same vicinity of the vehicle. My money is on naive seller. He's the original owner and probably isn't in tune with the Vanagon community. I bet he pulls the ad after he gets inundated with phone calls and figures out what he has. Cheers, Jeff
