Scott mentioned that his preference was for Delo 10-40. I recently had the opportunity to work with a very competent fellow in Oregon on some transaxle upgrades. He also intimated that the elimination of Zinc compounds from dino oil over the past years has caused these lubricants to be significantly less effective. His recommendation is to upgrade to a CJ-4 rated oil. Delo 10-40 is one, other suppliers including Pennzoil also have SAE CJ-4 rated lubricants. This is the rating for diesel motors. Costco locally has Delo 10-40 at a very good price. pensioner |
