"Unfortunately, many of these places are disappearing. I suspect due totrash, over-use and some not-in-my-backyard locals. Several placeshave access blocked with boulders and new signs stating no camping. It's a shame, really." Just south out of Sedona, AZ on 179 (Red Rock Scenic Rd) is a pull off on the left (E) side of the road that is maybe 200-300 ft. long and hides behind a rock/dirt/fin/mound that separates it from 179. It's north of Big Park/Oak Creek. I've camped there several times when I can't find a better place in the area. No traffic noise, never been bothered, private. It parallels private property, indicated by a wire fence with a gate near one end. Never have seen/heard anyone use that and they couldn't spot me from the gate. Nice spot.bob _________________________________________________________________ Change the world with e-mail.
