Both of those choices are extremely low and dangerous. Also many PEP boys tires are off brand and made in China so you need to be extra careful.

If going with passenger tires on 14" rims you need to step up to a minimum of 215/70-14 to at least get you to a load index of 96. The factory reinforced 205/70-14 was load index 97 so this is still a compromise. Yo also need to make sure it is rated for the 44 psi pressure so you can run the factory recommended pressures for the 205/70 fitment. A high quality high performance 215/70-14 with the 44 psi inflation pressure can work.

Want to get some new shoes today and saw Pep boys with 85k Hankook 205/70/14 or 185/70/14 for 60 each (buy 3/get 1), Speed T and load 87(185) or 93(205). Questions is-How does load translate to letters. Seem to remeber last month that load rating C preferred. Which to buy? Thanks.
