The time has finally come for me to reduce my Vanagon fleet.  Up for grabs is my trusty (10 years ownership) 86 Syncro, which could be used as a driver or for parts.
Good points- good engine with recently redone head gaskets, functional a/c, v/c works fine, power mirrors and door locks (front doors), Michelin MXT tires 205/70R14, front seats from an 87 (adjustable armrests).
Bad news- lots of rust (MN winters), transmission whine suspected to be pinion bearing, crack in windshield, original locking diff was replaced by a non-locker, p/s leak.
$1500 or best offer, transportation negotiable, pictures available.
