So if you are trying to keep up with the cost of driving your vanagon and
you're now using Miles per dollar as a real measure of how much driving it
costs..You have two 'sliding scales' to try to deal with at the same time.
Gas and diesel have about doubled in 6 months and the dollar's real value,
as compared to it's actual purchasing power in the new World Economy, had
shrunk in half in the past 9 months..
  Can you say "Double-Whammy!!"?  We be getting hit on both sides..You are
supposed to "turn the other cheek" if you're a *Good Person*.  But, the only
other cheek(s) I can find, that aren't already being smacked ,are just below
my back and above my legs....
