Hey Martin, its way past time to stop checking values and start grabbing parts. It might be something difficult but its more likely water in the gas or over-advanced timing.

Is the distributor tight in its hole or will it turn with hand pressure?

What happens when you wiggle the distributor harness wires while its idling?

Undo the fuel hose at the regulator and watch it while your wife turns on the ignition. Does gas blast out?

Change the filter and try it again.

Does it idle steady at ~900 RPM?
