Digifant and Digijet live constantly in the present, looking at what the engine is doing and adjusting what they can according to hard-coded data tables in ROM. There are probably two or three things on timers, like initial engine warm-up mode or bogus O2 input sense, but they represent a "memory" of no more than a few minutes, max.
