Thanks for the info, I actually don't have the title in hand, it is in
the glove box of the van, and that's where I left it.
I actually tried to contact you when I got the van and never heard
back, maybe I typed your email address wrong. I knew that you were the
PPO.
The gentleman I got it from seemed happy to be rid of it.
I told him after I looked at the vehicle that I was planning to try to
get it running and restore it, but that if that wasn't possible I was
going to part it out or sell it. He made no comment that he would have
a problem with it.
As I'm sure everyone on the list knows things come up in life that
make certain projects undoable. I now have $$ and time into this
"FREE" van.
So rather than take it apart and sell off the parts for more $$ than I
could sell the whole for, it is on eBay.
I listed it on the samba and craigslist for what I thought were fair
prices and got offers that were well below the scrap value. I figured
members of the community would see it there and could contact me as
Dylan did and discuss the vehicle.
Hopefully whoever buys it will keep it together, but that's not a term
of the sale. The new owner is free to do whatever he/she wants with it.
