I take my 87 to Rick at Hugo's in Encinitas.  They have always done an excellent job troubleshooting
and diagnosing issues, and fix problems for a fair price.  They are not cheap (or expensive), but I
trust them 100% on my Vanagon and Volvo.  Give Rick a call and tell him I referred you-he's a great
