BTDT, JB weld is the solution until you rebuild the engine. Works for awhile, and then you have to add more, and more, and more. It will really P.O. the guy who has to clean it off for rebuilding!

P.S.: You can try to embed a piece of fiberglass mat in the first layer to slow down the inevitable cracking.

I have an 87' syncro that is leaking oil bewteen where the dipstick goes into the case and the upper right corner of the oil pump cover. It looks like there is a bore plug there and the oil is leaking from it. I have seen this mentioned in other posts but no solution. I am thinking about using JB weld to seal it up any other suggestions?
