I think I've died and gone to Hea-van. I ordered 6 cigarette style female plugs from Powerlet. Today I took out the stock green-ringed-gauranteed-to-slobber-out-your-phone-charger plug, and put it the Powerlet. Took out the glove box, and it helps to also unhook that one heater hose. Anyway, the fit is excellent, very tight, no jiggle at the dash, and phone charger fits like a virgin. Madonna would be pleased. So now I've decided to order 2 more for a total of 8, and to get 8 of the M types (BMW plugs is what they call them). Two of each type will be in the dash, the rear kick panel by the sliding door, the outer part of this bench with drawers to replace the carat mid seats, and the inside of the charging cubby in the same bench). Haven't actually plugged in electricity to the Powerlet, just wanted to see it would actually fit, because the backend of it is pretty big. Well it fits far better than oem, only obstacle is the oem is a three prong connector, and the Powerlet is a two prong connector. |
