Is the problem with the engine running or engine off and key out? You could well be wired so that the 12v is only available at the refrigerator when the engine is running (and the alternator providing the current). A stock Dometic 'fridge will will pull a battery flat in very short time with the engine off. And IIRC the stock wiring (without the aux battery) is just that way, no 12v to refrigerator with the engine off.
