I ordered and installed one of those kits a few weeks ago. Takes about an hour or so to do the installation. The instructions were right on the money, and easy to understand. When you first open the pop top, it seems pretty much normal until you get it raised about a foot, at which point you can just ease it up with one finger. Slick:) For pulling it down, I grab hold of the bar and let the weight of my body bring it down, kind of leaning back toward the rear seat--feels good to stretch this way too! Once again, at the 1 foot point there's no tension on the top, which allows you to tuck in the canvas and so forth. The only issue I've seen is it's easy to pull down on one side more than the other, and this may cause some problems with the hinges overtime, although I suspect there's a fair amount of flex in the fiberglass. Overall, well worth the money. I'm sure that Go Westy will try to capitalize on the idea in no time;) Troy |
