SOUND OF ACOUSTIC GUITAR BEING SOFTLY PLAYED. IMAGE OF SUNRISE OVER MOUNTAIN MEADOW.

VOICE OF WILFORD BRIMLEY:

Y'know, way back before Tom Buese became famous for his wildly-successful BZ Shelf and was working out of the back of an old outhouse, he sent a drawing of his earliest shelf design to me. Crayon on a flattened-out supermarket paper bag, as I recall.

Well, I built a shelf from that drawing and installed it, and it worked so fine that I haven't looked back since. But after we move to Bend, Oregon, Tom is sending one of his factory ones to me. I'll pull my home-made one out and put up the genuine article. I was thinking of tossing my old one or recycling it but -- you in the back there: pay attention now, this is where it gets interesting -- it occurs to me that I am in possession of the ONLY BZ Shelf which predates his soulless machine-built ones, the only one which was not built by Tom hisself.

Is it merely an ersatz BZ? A cheap knockoff? A shoddy copy??? Well, sure -- all that and more! But I prefer to think that what I have here is a unique Pre-BZ Shelf.

Own a piece of history. Replete with the splinters and Sharpie marks that clearly show the hand (and foot) of my craftsmanship, this is a more than a piece of furniture, this is a real one-of-a-kind piece of crap.

Operators are standing by.
