Yah I modded mine etc. too, and it made ice, during the day, but this was with reasonable ambient temps. IIRC, the best differential I've seen is ~ 40 - 43 F.

Not much use in 100F weather.

I may be upgrading to a Vitagro (sp?) soon though I have a 182B (mines 182A) that I could fix up. It may be better.

Stuart just posted another good reason to keep the plug in and cover off. Though as always, regarding the outer cover, it's up to the individual --- :^)
