Find a junkyard that has a Vanagon in it.  Bring a good size punch and
hammer, and you can drive them out of the axle flange. They shouldn't charge
more than 50 cents each.

Does anyone know where to find rear wheel studs for a 1985 vanagon?&nbsp; I
called the local vw dealership and found them at 13.50 a pop.&nbsp; The Auto
Zone doesn't have them and the Advance Auto has, what they believe to be but
aren't sure, a whole set for $33.00.&nbsp; I say a whole set because they
say that it must be for the cost although no one seems t be able to tell by
the order form on the computer how many comein the set 5 or 20.&nbsp; I just
need 6 really and if any one has a lower cost alternative or know what other
vehicles have compatability to the same studs it would be greatly
appreciated!&nbsp; Thanks a lot
