This is very interesting. I just spent a week in my '82 Westy and noticed it works great on propane, much better than expected. Too good, possibly. Once it was down to near freezing. Same as Jim's, the pilot blows out with any vehicle speed. It seemed to not work on 12 volts so I'm planning to investigate that next.

If the fridge propane flame (it's not a pilot light BTW) blows out while driving then you have an air leak somewhere. The system is designed to operate while driving. I have been driving my van for over 17 years now and always have the fridge running on Propane while driving to and from camping adventures. Just drove all over Mexico, to and fro, for over 5 months and the fridge propane flame NEVER blew out while driving. This is another one of those subject that has been discussed over and over - look in the archives. If the Dometic fridge is in the condition as it was designed then it will work properly.
