I agree re: prices staying/going up. One only has to look at the history of fuel prices in Europe to see where gas prices are headed in North America.

I also wonder too about van/rv camping becoming less common. Especially as it relates to driving my Westy. Even with the conversion I've done (more efficient engine), I'm sure I'll *still* be hard pressed to sit down and actually look at the cost of fuel on a given trip.

(Denial. It's so convenient --- ;^)

Maybe shorter trips to local popular CG's are one of the answers.

With fuel $ going up, maybe there will be less *large* RV's clogging the campgrounds. Then we (Vanagons) will have an advantage?
