Well, I have the 276mm dual pot Audi brakes on my TriStar - cross drilled and slotted and the stopping power is pretty good but there is always room for improvement.

I have seen somewhere in Germany people using the same Audi 5000S / 100 / 200 brake carrier and caliper with a 303mm Mercedes disc that didn't require the use of an 8mm spacer and the pads don't go off the top of the disc like they do on my TriStar (just... but the do). Does anyone know what model of MB has 303mm 5x112 discs that have 8mm more offset than the Audi 5000S / 100 / 200 disc - time to upgrade the brakes on my Syncro Westie as I had *smoke* coming off of the going in to Pemberton over the weekend... not a nice feeling when you have no brakes - especially with a trailer and four 44" tall tires in the trailer pushing you along.
