Also there is NO economy in putting in a new 'fuel efficient' engine to replace a perfectly good engine.  Calculate how many miles you have to drive to 'break even' on the cost of the new engine vs the gas savings from going from 19 to 23 mpg.  :-(  Just Slow down.  m2cw   Malcolm

Legacy type Subaru 2.2 engine can do, rather than say 19ish mpg ( US
gallons ) it can do more like 23ish.  Even a bit more.
