Hi all Ive got a strange issue. On the coolant bottle there is a 2 prong probe / Plug. Well Mine decided to shrink in thread size and Pop out. I got a NEW one and it threaded into the bottle perfectly. So I measured the old to new and it is a fair amount "shrunk". I put a brand new one in and Today it Did it again. shrunk up and popped out. What the!!!

My Rad fan comes on when it is suppose to and this set up has been switched from a stock 1.9L to a Zetec 2.0L ford. The coolant system is now a Closed system with a new cap and a coolant bottle from a 2.1L. You can take the Shrunk Probe and just stick it in the hole without threading it in. While it was still warm I plugged in another used non Shrunk probe/plug and it threaded right in nice and tight.

Any Ideas what is making it do it OR has anyone had this happen OR is there a way to stop it???

This is a new one on me. Thanks in advance Jonce There are about 50 of the bostig conversions on the road and Im the ONLY one having the issue. Just wanted to bounce it off the list for more ideas.
