dear BW DO NOT DO THIS >>> DO NOT RUN FRIDGE FROM ADAPTER OR INVERTER

You will have over load and possibly a fire which may start at any time the fridge comes on if you go from ciggy lighter you will not have a fused link to identify problems

I had a large inverter in my westie ... the information said it would run a small micro wave ... so i plugged a small microwave in ... pressed the start switch ... the magneto thingy in the microwave started ... the draw was enormous ... i could hear the electricity hum ... then the micro wave light dimmed a little ... got really bright then smoke poured from the inverter... i undid the wires leading to the inverter ... both were already almost too hot to touch ...

inside the inverter ... every on of the electronic regulators were cooked and the melamine wall behind the inverter was warm to touch ...

Now lets think if that had been an unfused fridge coming on and demanding power

maybe some more experienced electrical savvy types will have more to say ...

but that is my two cents worth ... yours
