I find that shoe paint (spray can), bought at your local shoe repair place works well too. M

----- Original Message ---- From: Doug Fitz-Randolph <fitzr@SUSCOM-MAINE.NET>

Some of the brown plastic pieces - e.g. defroster vents - on my '82 were quite faded. I found a spray paint color that is almost an exact match for the original brown plastic color and repainted them with great results. The paint is Krylon Ultra-flat Camouflage 4292 Brown "Made with Fusion for Plastic paint technology". I think with this stuff one could use more commonly available black parts and just paint them to match the stock brown interior. FYI I have used other colors of this paint to stripe wires - i.e. make a white wire blue & white - and it dries well and remains flexible. Rust-o-leum did not work so well - it never really dried past tacky on the plastic - so perhaps there is something to this "Fusion for Plastic paint technology".

Hope someone finds this info helpful.

Cheers, Doug Fitz-Randolph Freeport, ME
