Plain, old mineral spirits works for me for most adhesive residue. You might like the smell of WD-40 better.

The PO of my Vanagon decided to close off all the vents in the dash with duct tape so I decided to open them back up and am now trying to get that sticky residue off without taking the dashboard finish with it. Anyone know of a product that will do that? Thanks Robert 83 Vanagon 74 Type 1
