Hi Jake
The NEW sender will screw into the old or New bottle just fine but the old "shrunk" sender just pushes past the treads to the seal. the new sender will thead
into new and old bottles just perfect. It is definatley a shrunk plug. The Dial Caliper shows it as with the threads. Ive got about 5 used bottles and 2 NEW
ones here with about 7 senders most cracked on the probes but kept the old ones for fun I guess. The 2 shrunk ones are the ones recently pulled out of
the bus that AAA had to tow me home on. Ive got 2 smaller ones in my collection of parts. Its not the bottle. I wish I could blame it on the bottle but can not.
Again thanks for input. But Im still baffled.

Hmmm. Is it the sensor probe that's shrinking or the reservoir that's expanding? The one in my '84 is aftermarket from BowWow and its been in there for
more than 10 years.

Hi Jake
Both of the ones that "shrank" were German VW OEM. I put a Meyle or Mayle in there yesterday and will test run it. It takes about 30 to 40 miles to do the
deed. I used the NEW oem VW one thinking it would be the E ticket. Just not sure if anyone has heard of such a thing.
