I keep reading 4 dollar gas is here to stay. I don't believe it.
I don't believe 4 dollar gas is here to stay either because we are going to
8 dollar a gallon gas and quicker than most would believe. As I indicated
before
Mexico's oil supply is drying up and they ship there last barrel in 2014.
The equation is very simple we are using 2 percent more oil every year and
finding less and what we do find is much smaller then the mature fields we
now have. China and India are just begining to demand a share of the pie.
As demand increases and supply slides the moves in oil price will become
more intense. The Alberta Tar Sands can't begin to make up the shortfall.
We will see oil at 225 dollars a barrel and we will be glad to get it.
I do believe at 10 dollar's a gallon then camping across the country burning
fossil fuels in a vanagon may become a thing of the past.
As much as I love to be on the road in my westy it seems to me there is
a point at which you say this don't not make sense anymore even if I can
afford the gas.
Finally the new truck and suv sales are being hit but it's a little late in
the
game.
But as for the pipe dream that gas is going down from here don't hold your
breath.
When you look at every supply demand graph out there you ask one
simple question.
Tell me how and why it will move down.
At 30 dollars a barrel they said it would dip, at 60 it was not sustainable,
at 100 dollars a barrel it's overpriced with specualtors, at 125 it's a
bubble.
In Europe they pay over 10 dollars a gallon but there drive small diesels
and
not SUV's.
Just my two cents.
