You're probably right about that, but I've never tried it that way (yet). Those actuators are very inexpensive and you only need one, but I think they only sell them in pairs. It may be worth digging into, but you'd still have to determine how to interface the remote controllers lock/ unlock outputs to the driver's door lock actuator wiring. It may have to be relayed due to current draw limitations.
