Has anyone recently used either www.paintscratch.com or www.automotivetouchup.com to get spray cans of "exact match" VW paint? They allow you to enter in the year, model and then indicate what colors they have, and I can find my "merian brown" color (code LA8A) of my Vanagon. The price is fairly similar $20-25 for a 12 oz spray can, plus I would need a spray can of clear coat. I have some small areas to do and no longer have the garage or motivation to set up the whole compressor/spray gun outfit. I've searched the archives and found some past thumbs-ups to paintscratch.com. A 2001 reference to www.color-rite.com didn't pan out as they apparently just make motorcycle/ATV/other noisemaker paint, not automotive touch up. Thanks Mark |
