As I said, just explain it all to your insurance company, and see what
they think. They'll be happy to inform you of their stance on this
particular subject.
And, also check with the autostart manufacturer to see what their stance
on this matter is.
Also, ask a shop or a technician that installs autostarts for a living
what they'd recommend for you to do and why.
After all this is done, then come back to tell us how it all worked out.
There's a reason for everything. A you're situation is not special, nor
are you exempt from laws and liabilities.
