Andrew, The TEMPII sensor (blue) does NOT control the temp gauge. The gauge has another sensor(black) that is located on the same coolant distribution manifold as the TEMPII sensor. They both can be swapped out with a "quick hand". In an attempt to right my temp gauge read-out, I want to swap in a new sensor on the t-stat. Can this be done (with a quick hand) without going back and bleeding the entire coolant system?
I DO intend to try cleaning the existing sensor connections first to see if that fixes it.
Thanks, Andrew '87 GL |
