Jamie, Not sure if you got a reply.  I have an oak floor put in by a previous owner.  It has a subfloor of 1/4" fiberboard.  The oak floor squares are glued to this.  Looks like some liquid nails stuff kept it all down flat on the metal ribs.  An aluminum roll-over trim piece is across the sliding door opening, held down my four screws -- I don't know where you could get one of those. ----- Original Message ---- From: Jamie Fitterer <fittdog8848@HOTMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Sunday, June 8, 2008 6:32:09 PM Subject: Wood Flooring I was thinking about putting bamboo flooring in my 84 westy and had a few questions about what others have done.  Are you just taking out the carpet and laying down the wood or removing the sub floor and then putting down the wood flooring?  Also when using wood what are you using for the opening kick at the sliding door?  Any pics or ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks
