IMHO this is what people generally do, and it results in a colder world. Tighter, tougher, more suspicious.
What would be nice is if folks would instead become looser, understand and accept.

tighten up, strengthen yourself, your resolve, and take more steps that
it doesn't happen again.
Whatever "improvements" they may force us to take, make, I
