Bob,

The ultimate repair for those floppy mirrors is replacement. I didn't use the same type but good used powermirrors. You can install powermirrors w/o adding power if that sound too complicated for you. The two top holes on the PM are in the same position as the manual mirrors. The 3rd hole you can either leave w/o a screw; secure with a sheet- metal screw; or install with a nutsert. I've been running them w/o the third screw in my Syncro for 5 years w/o any of hem falling off. No more floppies.
