I have a 91 cargo van that has a passenger side bench seat designed for 2. That means that this bus?seats 3 in front including driver with seatbelts for all three. It appears like the seat would slide in to the same track as a single bucket seat and the seat belts simply double up on the same bolts as the driver and passenger seat belts. Here is the problem, the top of the backrest of the bench seat is bolted to and relies on the partition wall of the cargo van for support. If you tried to install it in a passenger van the backrest would simply flop all the way back to the floor. I suppose brackets could be fabricated to hold up the backrest. If you still want it it is available for pick up in Sudbury.

Hello all,

I'd like to make my van into an 8 passenger van (currently 7) as we need another seat for family vacationing. Has anyone ever used the transporter bench seat in a standard van (84 7 passenger GL)? I know they sold vans as 8 passenger in Europe, just never here. I imagine it would be a direct bolt in with seat belts. I've a got a brown cloth interior, but not too picky. Anything within reasonable pickup distance of Toronto would be better.

Jason Guelph, Ontario.
