Subject: BZ Shelf Arrived on the Right Coast
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi All,

My BZ shelf arrived on Tuesday evening. Was going to post its arrival yesterday, but had a bunch of "honey do" projects around the house to take care of. I installed it last night. Did a slight mod (based on the pictures on the Vanagon-wiki) of putting some clear tubing on the u-bolts to keep it a little more stable. Workmanship was excellent, took more time to slip the tubing on the u-bolts than it actually took to install the shelf! (less than 30 minutes)

Word of warning.....be careful if you use the "indentation" on shelf to lower the roof...the indentation is there so the shelf can clear the skylight mechanism when the top is down and the shelf is "stowed"...OUCH!!!!

To "Mr. BZ" ..... Thanks for your design, work, shipping, etc.

Ric
