Aileen, First I would pull off the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator and check for raw gas. If so the diaphragm in the regulator has ruptured. Next I would check the fuel pressure to the injectors. While the pressure gauge is still attached, turn off the engine. The pressure should hold. If not look for a leaking injector.
