Noise on acceleration only is usually tranny related...If under light throttle you gently swerve from side to side and the noise changes, it is probably a wheel bearing, but the rears are sneaky and don't always show up that way. Driveshafts are usually vibrations and not the Rrr Rrr Rrr noise of a bearing (like the sound effects??) Occasionally an unner Cv will cause a growl..There again, they can be hard to diagnose...
