They didn't do anything radical, just did the typical 1800cc engine rebuild w/twin carbs, external oil cooler, chromed bits, and painted the engine tins red to match the exterior red. There was one "funny part" to the show. One of the segments was with one of the hosts who goes out to get some parts for the build and goes to a local Autozone. At Autozone he goes into a monologue on how Autozone has every part for every car.......RIGHT! He's handed a couple of bags of stuff (they seemed to cut out the obvious result......"Can you give me a king pin set for a '65 VW Van please?"........."Uh, we don't carry that stuff..."). In one of the bags are two obvious antifreeze containers. It was an obvious plug for AutoZone. Ric
