Where did you get the five speed? I'm out of date, but on my '84 I had to detach the shift rod bracket from the transmission and move the rod out of the way to get at the plug.

I must be blind, but I can't see the filler plug in my 5sp manual 2wd trans. The Bently is no great help as it pictures the filler plug, showing it from the thread side and out of the tranny, kind of sitting up on the page, in space. That helps(?)...not. I have never had any luck with the Archives Search function of the list, so I'm asking outright. Anybody direct me as to where the filler plug is and what it looks like from the outside? At least I am smart enough (this time) to not drain the tranny until I actually find the filler plug and get it removed. Thanks in advance, Don Hanson
