Don't know what happened to the old one, I can stick a pick in the vacant hole approx. 1 1/2" so I assume that sucker fell out on the highway somewhere. And I've tried threading a bolt in and I can turn it in a bit by hand so I believe the threads are OK too. Still in the market for a replacement though. I haven't tried any of the local shops yet but I will when I get a chance or let the dealer have his way with me. thanx, paul r
