Hi Gary,

there was no VW Tirol. The link which you found was a link to an Austrian VW Bus Club in Tirol.

The syncro was sold in Austria not as syncro the sold it as "allrad" because the Volkswagen marketing took this decision. The car was the same.

Hey Volks,

What exactly is a VW Tirol? The reason I'm asking is a friend of my wife's called, all excited about purchasing one, and was looking for my opinion (I wasn't there). She went on to say it's a 4-wheel drive VW bus, at which point my wife repeated to her what I'd said about Syncros some time back, which was basically if in a moment of weakness I even considered buying a Syncro she was to use whatever means at her disposal to change my mind up to and including lethal force. That seemed to get her attention, but I'd still like to know what it is - - found a dead link off of syncro.org, and couldn't find anything in the gerry archives. Thanks,

Gary
