I just installed my Bilstein HD last night. It seems with that spacer installed the lenght of the smaller diameter part of the shaft is the same as the OE shock. Without the spacer the threaded part of the shaft now is longer and I cannot put that plastic cap over the lock nut. What have others done with that? Just leave the cap off and goop the lock nut up with grease to prevent corosion? Thanks Pascal '84 Westy >> >> I also installed sans the spacer.
