So, I have read here and elsewhere that VW used ATE and Girling calipers for
the Vanagon. I don't know however if one manufacturer was used for specific
model years or whether they used both randomly for all model years or what.
I cannot discern whether my calipers are ATE or Girling. Apart from the
Audi/VW logo on the casting, I see no obvious marks. Presumably the brackets
are different and thus I need to know what I am replacing?

How do I tell what mine are?
