I was going to remove the hoses from the AC on my 83.5 and have them re-made. They both have splices in them and I figured that's where the leak was. Well I did a quick pressure check and not only is there still 134a in the system the pressure was reading above the green and a little into the yellow. OK, I possibly still have refrigerant in there. The belt broke a few months ago and I need to replace it. What size is the belt going to the compressor? Is it one my VW friendly FLAPS will have or is it a mail order item?

Bryan, here is the info your looking for. The belt I have listed on my _Vanagon Items Forsale_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/sales.htm) webpage comes from NAPA. >> Belt, air conditioning, 83 -91 waterboxer, 12.5 ~13 x 1153, 025 260 849B - $30.98 As you see I have the size listed there. Most often I have this IMPORTANT info listed on my site, so keep it book marked for reference
