Hi Jake --- I agree about Tony Rice's covers --- he's fabulous. But if you listen to Lightfoot's early stuff, his voice was fabulous. About 20 years ago (maybe longer, he had Bell's Palsy and it was thought at the time that he'd never sing again. And a few years back be had a stomach anerysm that almost killed him. My wife and I have seen him 3 times since that episode and have decided that we won't anymore --- it is tooo painful to watch. I'll stick with my memories of him in the good old days.
