Several years ago I was driving on I-5 south of Tacoma when I came up behind a car being towed by a strap. All of a sudden the strap broke, and the recoil sent the car in to a spin.

It spun around three times while all lanes of traffic screeched to to a near stop-then the car stopped spinning facing the direction of traffic and coasted to the shoulder. I really thought I was going to slam into that one.

Jim, I'm sure you will never use a tow strap again.(They aren't legal in Washington State.)
