I had always adjusted bearings by prying the washer with the blade of the screwdriver. One edge of the blade against the washer, the other against the hub/rotor/drum. Seems like in my vanagon Bentley specifically states that it is not a prying motion, just a pushing sideways action. This makes for much looser adjustment. Opinions?
