Sounds like you may be looking to screen print something? If you are, I took a picture of Totoro and printed it out the size i wanted on plain paper, then traced over it with sharpie. I make my own screens so this worked well for me. very DIY. I'll send a picture of my first attempt at screen printing Totoro on a shirt. Kinda messy, but charming in it's own way. :)
