If you don't have Air Conditioning - it's very easy to see where that ground strap goes.<BR>
near the waterpump, on the left head - you'll see two small bolts - 10 mm hex heads.<BR>
&nbsp;- under the intake manifold a bit.<BR>
the ground strap goes to either of those.<BR>
the other end goes to one of the same size screws under the coil , on the left firewall.<BR>
And very flexible medium size grounding braided wire or cable will work just fine.<BR>

you could even use smallish battery cable - but since the engine moves a lot, you want it really flexible - so braided is bettter.<BR>
or ......even several heavy wires.<BR>

So I was poking through my engine (87 GL auto) and I think I may be missing the strap that is supposed to go from the Head to the Firewall. There is a bit of rusted braid left on the bolt on the firewall but nothing else.<BR>

Could someone point me in the right direction to find where it should have connected - or point me toward a picture of what it should look like.<BR>
